◈ ForeverRoute
EXPERIMENTAL ENGINE · ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT

Adaptive Planner V4.

More than a checklist. Planner V4 is a local, explainable quest-planning engine that considers your character, quest state and current position to recommend a sensible next objective — and rethink the trip as the facts change.

Beta development: V4 is experimental. Stable Planner V3 remains available when facts are incomplete. Some features below still need real-client acceptance testing.

THE ENGINE

How a decision is made

V4 evaluates the world it can actually verify — not an imaginary completed quest.

01 · READ

Read your character

Level, race/class/faction, accepted and completed quests, available NPC offers and quest prerequisites.

02 · FILTER

Remove unsuitable quests

Exclude solo-incompatible content, wrong-class quests, blocked chains and goals without trustworthy evidence.

03 · PLAN

Connect several tasks

Batch eligible pickups near the same NPC; plan pickup → objectives → turn-ins as a combined circuit.

04 · RE-EVALUATE

React to real progress

When quest or position evidence changes, review the next recommendation without restarting the whole adventure.

MULTI-QUEST ITINERARY

One quest hub. One useful trip.

An illustrative itinerary, not a speed benchmark. V4 can combine compatible quests so you do not repeatedly return to the same NPC between every task.

WHAT IT DOES

What makes V4 different

POSITION AWARE

Your location affects the next choice

Movement and zone changes influence travel scoring. V4 looks for the most useful reachable next goal, not necessarily the geometrically closest quest.

MULTI-QUEST ROUTES

Beyond one quest at a time

Quest prerequisites and shared hubs shape a bounded multi-quest circuit, including grouped pickups and return turn-ins.

ZONE & TRANSPORT COSTS

Distance is more than a straight line

Estimated travel cost can include zone borders, faction-dependent transport and flight paths your character has learned. This is not full road-GPS navigation.

ADAPTIVE REPLANNING

Progress can change the plan

After quest acceptance, completion or movement, V4 re-evaluates the relevant facts. Unchanged feasibility results can be reused for faster local recalculation.

EXPLAINABLE CHOICES

A reason behind the recommendation

Diagnostic details show the selected goal, alternatives, eligibility and confidence. Use the in-game /fr why and /fr plan views.

HONEST FALLBACK

Never invent missing quest facts

Unverified coordinates stay advisory; unsupported or unreadable state can hand guidance back to Planner V3. Class quests and solo-exclusion rules are respected.

PLANNED · NOT RELEASED

▣ Keep me on this route

Coming in the next planned fix: a player-controlled route lock intended to preserve your selected itinerary when you hearth to town, run an errand, reload or log out. Unlock it to resume normal position-aware planning. This has been queued for implementation and is not available in the current public beta.

THE COMPARISON

How it compares with other leveling tools

RestedXP and Guidelime already have automated quest progression and navigation. The difference we are building toward is the decision model — not a claim that other guides are static or incapable of adapting.

RestedXP

Strong focus on speedrunner-authored leveling paths, guide automation, quest auto-accept / turn-in, waypoints and customization.

FOREVERROUTE V4

ForeverRoute V4 emphasizes recomputing a scored multi-quest itinerary from current facts and position, rather than following only an authored sequence. That does not establish that V4 is faster.

Official feature references ↗

Guidelime

Guide steps with automatic progress, map/minimap marks, navigation arrow and an editor for custom guides.

FOREVERROUTE V4

ForeverRoute V4 focuses on runtime selection and regrouping of eligible pickups, objectives and turn-ins, while Guidelime mainly delivers author-defined guide steps.

Official feature references ↗

Questie

Quest availability, quest start/end/objective map markers, an enhanced tracker, journey log and quest search.

FOREVERROUTE V4

ForeverRoute aims to decide which sequence of tasks to do next; Questie is primarily a quest-information and tracking tool rather than a complete leveling itinerary.

COMPANION APP

ForeverRoute + Control Center

V4 provides the in-game planning engine. The Windows Control Center is being developed as a companion for profiles, quest evidence, maps and route editing. A live, automatic public database sync is not yet verified or generally available.

Common questions

Is Planner V4 an online AI?
No. V4 runs locally as a deterministic planning engine in the addon. Its choices can be inspected; it does not need to call a remote AI service while you play.
Does it always select the nearest quest?
No. It evaluates useful travel cost, availability, prerequisites and possible multi-quest loops. The nearest objective by straight-line distance may be a bad or inaccessible choice.
Can I use it today?
The experimental engine exists in development builds, but full real-client acceptance is ongoing. The public addon beta and stable V3 guidance are available from CurseForge; check current release notes for V4 availability.
FOREVERROUTE BETA

Help us test the next route

We are looking for beta testers to help verify quest pickups, travel choices, navigation, route resumption and Planner V4 behaviour in real WoW Forever gameplay.
